Greek coffee (“Ellinikos Kafes”) is one of the simplest ways to make coffee. It is also know as Turkish coffee. Coffee has a very old history… It traveled to Turkey from Yemen and from Turkey it became known in Greece.
It became so popular that people started calling it “Greek coffee” instead of Turkish (or Arabic) coffee. Usually Greek coffee gets roasted lighter than traditional Turkish coffee. Another difference is that Greeks rarely add spices to their coffee.
I really like Turkish coffee (also known as Greek coffee) and that’s one of the main reasons I created FreshCoffeeShop. After researching the market for Turkish coffee suppliers I decided to use Sambacafe as my main supplier.
BUT was it enough?
All the reports from the searches in FreshCoffeeShop showed that there was sth missing. People searched for big brands they knew and trusted like Loumidis and Bravo.
So I decided to add more offers in the Turkish coffee category. You can now choose Sambacafe Turkish coffee (highly recommended) or choose Loumidis and Bravo Greek coffee.
One of my personal favorites is Loumidis Arxondikos because IMHO it is a much better blend than the common Loumidis coffee.

I feel a bit embarrassed… Although FreshCoffeeShop is located in Greece (and that’s the reason we have such good Turkish/Greek coffee and coffee mills), I hadn’t translated most of the pages to Greek.
It took just a couple of days to translate most of the product pages to Greek. I took the decision to translate the pages after watching the traffic from Greece rising considerably.
